The movie is an investigation thriller by its genre.Tamil film industry is renowned for making good small buget thrillers,nowadays.Ratsasan can be considered as a Gem in the murder mystery movies.It is a movie based on murders done by a brutual psycho serial killer and the police inspector who investigates these murders.It is directed by Ram kumar and was released on october 5,2018.It was a blockbuster movie and also get attention in other states too.Vishnu vishal and Amal paul plays the lead roles in the movie.It has a total runtime of 145 minutes.The budget was 23 crore and it collected more than 100 crore globally.

Arun wanted to be a film maker and done many researches about the crimes occurring in order to make a crime thriller movie.But his circumstances led him to become a police officer.He get assigned in the team dealing with recent murder cases of teenage girls.
He founds some similarities in each case which indicates that it was by a single person.His investigation was in the right path,even though his superior denied it.He had to face a lot of difficulties while going through this case,both in family and department.
What were the similarities in the case? Who was the killer? Who will be his next target?Is he able to catch him? These are the main questions which keep us on the edge of our seats till the end of the movie.

1)It is an out and out thriller which has so many nail-biting moments.The amount of thrill offered by the film is the biggest factor to watch the film.
2)Background music:Yes!The very very important factor.The mysterious and scaring background music makes us on the edge of our seat.The thrilling moments are not complete without a perfect background music.This was one of the best background music for a perfect thriller.
3)Perfect direction made the movie very much thrilling,engaging and exciting.The director cared to create a scary and mysterious atmosphere.which helped the audience to get the actual terror feeling created by a psycho villain.
4)Performance:All actors were extremely good.Especially the lady who acts as arun's superior has done a wonderful job.
5)Story,script,twist and suspense.These were crucial factors for a thriller and in case of Ratsasan these were best.

Overall,It is one of the best crime investigation thriller released in Tamil so far.It gives a large amount of thrills and excitement throughout the movie.Not only for thriller fans,but also for all type of audience it is a must watch one.We believe It may never disappoint you.It offers a good thrilling experience throughout without causing any lag or distractions.Thriller fans never miss this one.It is remade into other Indian languages too.
