Best thriller series to watch : Sharp objects
Sharp objects is an American miniseries telecasted in HBO from July 8 to August 26.It is basically a psychological thriller which discuss the emotion and feelings of different characters through a dark mood. It has a total of eight episodes. It is based on the novel written by Gillian Flynn in the same name. Amy Adams plays the lead role along with Patricia Clarkson, Eliza Scanlen, Chris Messina, Matt Craven, Taylor John Smith, Henry Czerny, Miguel Sandoval, Madison Davenport, Will Chase, Jackson Hurst, Lulu Wilson,Sophia Lillis, and Elizabeth Perkins as co-stars. The series received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers also it has got eight nominations at the 71st Prime time Emmy Awards.
ABOUT
The story is about Camille preaker,
a newspaper reporter who is suffering from alcoholism and slowly recovering
from it.she is sent to her native town, wind gap by her editor to investigate
and make report about a brutal murder happened there. Camille had lot of
emotional problems occurred at wind gap. Relationship with her family is not
too good. So, what is waiting her in wind gap? How did the murder happen? What
happens to Camille and family after she back there? What are the emotional
traumas haunting her? The eight episodes of Sharp objects give you the
explanation for all these questions.
FACTORS TO WATCH
1) The
direction: The director had done a wonderful job. The entire series goes in a
dark mood with lot of mysteries hiding. As the story progresses we could
understand the emotional traumas that Camille has been went through. The director
made everything mysterious at the beginning and become exciting at the end. Each
character has given different shades and made mysterious enough. The story
progress in a dark mood which makes it
more mysterious
2) Performance:
Amy Adams as Camille preaker has done hundred percent justice to her character.
She portrays the different emotional layers of the character, i.e., with the
family, with friends, in job etc. at its best. Viewers can easily understand
and also connect with that character’s
emotions .That shows the perfection of Amy Adams as Camillie.Also Patricia
Clarkson as Adora, Camille’s mother and Eliza Scanlen as Amma, Camille’s sister,
has also done a remarkable performance.
3) Story
and Suspense: Suspense plays a major role in making the series more interesting.
We have so many questions at the beginning. As the story progress it becomes
more mysterious and we will be thrilled to know the answers about the murders
and also about the mysteries behind each character.

though it is a psychological thriller it moves in a slow pace at the beginning,
by portraying the behavior of characters and the place. Become more mysterious as
it progress and finally it will excite you. It is one of the best mini thriller
series in our opinion. It is worth to watch.
