Peaky blinders is a British
crime drama television series telecasted in BBC One and BBC Two, created by
Steven knight, famous English screen writer and director. It is basically a
Historical crime drama set in old Birmingham after the period of First World
War. The series tells the story of a gangster family, ‘Shelby’ who were also
known as peaky blinders.Cillian murphy plays the main character as Thomas Shelby.The
remaining cast include Sam Neill, Helen McCrory ,Paul Anderson ,Annabelle
Wallis Iddo Goldberg, Sophie Rundle ,Joe Cole, Finn Cole ,Tom Hardy ,Kate
Phillips, Adrien Brody, Anya Taylor-Joy ,Sam Claflin etc. Five seasons of peaky
blinders were telecasted yet. A sixth season is also announced which will be aired
in 2021 or later. Each season have a total of six episodes which are having duration
of 50 to 60 minutes. Four seasons were telecasted in BBC Two and the fifth
season is shifted to BBC One. The first episode of first season is telecasted on
12 September 2013 and the last episode of fifth season on 22 September 2019.The

ABOUT
The story is about the rise and falls of a gangster family known as peaky blinders, who were lived in Birmingham at the period of 1900-1930.Thomas Shelby, an ex-soldier, is the head of the family .He decides and manages the administration of business carried out by the family. Thomas is highly ambitious about expanding their business at the same time he care for his family. Each season discusses the problems faced by Thomas Shelby while he tries to achieve his goal and also the family emotions and personal feelings at each stages of his life. It discusses the growth of Thomas Shelby and his empire from 1919 to 1929.In each season he has different enemies to face. Who are his enemies? How did he face them? What is the change of Thomas Shelby and his family during that period? The five seasons of peaky blinders shows you the answers for these questions.
INTERESTING THINGS

Cinematography and visuals: The show brings the viewers
exactly to old 1919 period with its wonderful cinematography and visual effects.
The dressing styles, vehicles, buildings, equipment etc. during that period were
recreated with extreme perfection. This helps the viewers to get a feel of the period
in which the characters are living.

Actions: Even though it has less number of
action sequences, each of them are well choreographed. All the action sequences
are interesting and make the viewers thrilled to watch.

Performance: Cillian murphy really lives as Thomas
Shelby. Everyone performs well. It has so many important female roles. Especially,
Helen McCrory as Elizabeth Polly Gray, Annabelle Wallis as Grace Burgess, Sophie
Rundle as Ada Shelby, plays the important, strong, female roles perfectly. Each
season has different villains and each of them is well performed.

Story: An interesting story line is the base of
this series. Each season shows how the Shelby family evolves. The story is a
mixture of different emotions.

Music: The background music and songs plays a key
role in making this show interesting.

Those who are interested in a good, performance oriented story can surely watch this. Those who loves gangster type stories can also try this. Thriller fans can also have a try, even though it is not a complete thriller, it makes you engaged throughout with its interesting story.

This well-made crime drama is a
pack of emotions and thrills. Even though it is not categorized as a thriller,
it keeps you interested with the story line.
